From the Archives: Trinity Orientation 1973

A couple of issues ago in our post Some things never change: 1920s student life at Trinity Trinity Archivist Sylvia Lassam shared a Trinity student diary that demonstrated just how similar students are across the decades. In her latest archival find, a 1973 student orientation week guide bearing Frank Zappa on the cover, it is once again clear that some things never change as far as student enthusiasm for orientation…but the slang certainly does. Rap-in sessions anyone? The activities have changed a bit too: somehow we doubt the Dean of Students is going to bring back “Riot Duty.”
