The Book sale is back! With some changes.

We are thrilled that our Friends of the Library group are able to host their annual book sale in Trinity College’s Seeley hall after a two-year pandemic hiatus. It has become a pre-eminent event for many book lovers in the GTA. While it’s great to be back, we want it to be an enjoyable experience for everyone, and there are a few aspects of the sale that will look a little different this year that we wanted to highlight for attendees.

Our first day entrance fee remains $5.00 and is payable in cash or card. Unlike previous years, customers won’t be permitted to line-up inside Trinity College and will not be admitted into the building until the sale begins. Volunteers will begin providing numbered admission tickets at 8:45 am.

The sale is going cashless

To help keep the crowds moving in Seeley Hall, the sale is going cashless. The one exception is the $5 entry fee on our first day and the purchase of Friends of the Library Greeting Cards.

Single entry and exit

Both the entry and exit for the sale this year will happen through the main Seely Hall entrance, accessible through the main door of Trinity College on Hoskin Ave. An elevator is available for those who need it at the west entrance of the main Trinity College building.

Be prepared for lines

To ensure a less crowded shopping experience, the number of people in Seeley may be capped. The sale has a large selection and a wide range of hours, so consider visiting on Sunday afternoon or Monday when the sale is less busy.
